MANAGING AND LEADING
CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIONS

One of the most challenging jobs out there is managing and leading criminal investigation teams.  This 8 or 16-hour course will provide you with an understanding of organizational structure, reactive versus proactive investigations, case management, personnel and staffing challenges, major case management and making sure you are prepared for the other critical investigations your teams will handle.  This course is designed for the supervisor who is new to leadership in investigations.

COMMUNICATION FOR LEADERS

Communicating as a leader is more than just the words you choose.  Using the right body language, and non-verbal essence will convey your message with accuracy.  Often times there is very little time in school or on the job teaching the right communication skills and everything rides on communication.  Communication for leaders will provide you with a better understanding of perceptions, bias, channel usage, and most of all active listening skills.  Great communication skills will enhance relationships, improve confidence and make you a more effective leader.

IMPROVING EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE

"It may not be them, it might be YOU."

This podcast describes some of Darin's leadership experience to include a pivotal experience where he realized the need to make changes to himself rather than an employee to have a successful outcome.  We often want to change others to conform to our expectations, but that isn't always the case!  Listen to how this experience changed his career.
